Have you ever wanted to know how to send WhatsApp messages to someone without saving their phone number?

I’m sure you’ve been in a situation where you want to send someone a WhatsApp message but don’t want them to have your number.

Here’s how you do that

There are essentially 3 ways in which you can send a WhatsApp msg to someone who is not on your phone contact list.

Add contact directly via WhatsApp

Here’s how to add a contact in WhatsApp for both Android and iOS users:

Add a contact in WhatsApp on Android or iOS

1. Open WhatsApp and tap the “Chats” tab at the bottom left of the screen.

2. Tap the “New Chat” button at the top right of the screen. A list of contacts will appear.

3. Scroll down to “New Contact,” then enter their phone number and name.

4. Tap “Save” at the top right of the screen (iOS) or bottom right (Android).

And that’s it, you can now directly send msg to this new contact which you have created via WhatsApp and not your phone book.

How to start a WhatsApp chat by using a weblink.

The WhatsApp messaging service, which is owned by Facebook ( now Metaverse ), has a feature that lets you send messages to people who aren’t in your contacts list and who haven’t saved your phone number.

To use this feature, which is called “Click to Chat,” you construct a URL that includes the phone number of the other person in the international format and your own phone number. Then you share the link with someone via SMS, email, or any other method available to you.

This method works on Android, iPhone, and WhatsApp Web.

When someone clicks on the link, they’ll be sent a message that says “You are now chatting with [your name]” on WhatsApp’s website or mobile app (if they’re logged in). They can then reply to you.

You need to Add the registered WhatsApp mobile number you want to chat with https://wa.me/919834567891. The country code, which for India is 91, needs to be added as well.

The message will show up as coming from your phone number.

Here’s what it looks like:

If they’ve saved your number to their phone, they’ll see your name attached to the message instead of a phone number (if not, they’ll just see your phone number).

They won’t have to do anything special to reply — if they have WhatsApp installed on their device, all they need to do is the type and hit Send. The reply will come from their own personal WhatsApp account.

If the recipient doesn’t have WhatsApp installed on their device or isn’t logged in, then they will be prompted to download the app or open WhatsApp web.

They can then log in and send the message.

Alternatively, they can even open the link in their mobile browser.

This will directly open WhatsApp in their mobile and lets them send a message from the mobile.

This method can be used for not only sending a message but also for making calls as well.

Using 3rd party Apps to send messages.

Alternatively, you can also use various third-party apps available both on the Play Store as well as Itunes.

Some apps such as-

Click to Chat (Android)

Download from PlayStore: Click to Chat

Easy Message

Download from PlayStore: Easy Message

Download from AppStore: Easy Message

Direct Message for WhatsApp (iOS)

Download from AppStore: Direct Message for WhatsApp

Out of these apps, the most user-friendly is Easy Message, as not only is it available in app form for your mobile, but you can also directly access it from the web on your pc or mac.

The most intuitive part of this app is that you don’t have to type in the full link, you just type in the number that you want to chat with, and it opens WhatsApp.

Well that more or less sums it up.
